Nicky is the founder of ReRoot Your Health and helps busy moms ditch bloating, stubborn weight, and fatigue so they can feel confident in their bodies and make healthy eating stress-free. After years of bouncing between doctors, struggling with hormones, acne, brain fog, stress and gut issues, she discovered the power of food as medicine. This transformation helped her regain her health and conceive her daughter. Now, she helps other moms take control of their health without frustration or restrictive diets so they can feel energized, confident and like themselves again. Nicky lives in CT with her fiancé, daughter Ava, pup Mia and kitty Nina.

From Burnout to Balance

I hit my mental rock bottom. I felt stuck. I had this stubborn belly fat I couldn't shake, I had been dealing with painful bloating, breakouts, gut issues, mood swings - and on top of that, my period was irregular for years. I was constantly second-guessing what to eat, feeling like I needed to ‘fix’ myself. Between 2 jobs, my daughter, and endless to-do lists, I had no time to figure out healthy eating, let alone cooking. My body was sending me some serious signals and I knew I had to ReRoot - to come back to myself and slow down. 

One evening I had a conversation with a friend about going back to school for nutrition and this night changed everything. I realized my eating habits were working against me. Instead of chasing quick fixes, I got real about what my body needed. By slowing down and making time for myself, I noticed immediate benefits. I made more conscious choices, freed up my time, had better digestion and more energy. With my background in nutrition I was able to make small but powerful shifts, like simple meal swaps, better planning, and cutting out foods that triggered inflammation and Igut troubles. 

Like many women, especially moms,I struggled to find time for myself and realized that “me time” was not a luxury, but a practical and essential component of a healthy lifestyle - even with busy schedules. What I love now is that I feel confident in my food choices every day and I have a great relationship with food and my body. Through faith, I turned to prayer, and meditation for guidance. Meal prep gave me time for family and personal priorities. I was finally living with purpose and joy.
